Welcome!
Our aim for this research on emotional disturbance is to learn about this prevalent condition and provide a resource for ourselves and others to access now and in the future. On this site, we have provided a brief history of emotional disturbance, as well as resources for teachers, students and families. The resources range from professional journal articles, to practical techniques and strategies that students can use in their daily life at school and at home.
We as a group do not have much experience with the disabilities named under the wide umbrella of emotional disturbance, however, we feel that it is a condition that we will encounter frequently in our teaching careers. We hope to ensure that our increased knowledge of this disability and practical strategies for the classroom will ensure that we can better provide for our students and families who live with an emotional disorder.
Browse the various sections on our website to learn more about emotional disturbance and explore our many resources.
